As a little girl, I was crazy about horses. What little girl isn’t? I was so blessed to grow up riding and showing horses and I was even more lucky to have my own horse, Hunter. I quit riding when I went off to college, then started back up and had another horse for awhile before graduating, working full time, and starting a photography business, then a family. Sadly, I don’t have time to ride anymore these days, but I will always have a soft spot for horses and I dream about sharing my love of horses with my daughter when she’s older.
When Riley contacted me to schedule a trash the dress session on the beach, I was excited. I love any excuse to go to the beach and it sounded like a fun session. When she mentioned that she would be bringing a horse along for the session, I was beyond thrilled. Photography + the beach + a horse? This was sounding like a dream come true!
Riley and I had a blast during this session! The bay Quarter Horse she used for the session reminded me so much of my Hunter, and it was wonderful to be around horses again for the day. Riley was such a beautiful bride and had an absolutely gorgeous dress, which just added to the perfect elements for this session. She also brought along other fun props to include, like sunglasses and an umbrella and rain boots. I love when clients think outside the box and bring special items to not only make their session more personal, but make it more unique as well.
I had a hard time narrowing down Riley’s images to share but here are some of my favorites!
