This was such a special session for me. Last fall, I donated a session and prints to a silent auction benefiting breast cancer. The lady who was running the auction called to tell me that the session had been purchased by a fifteen year old girl, Emma. She used her own allowance to buy the session for her aunt Alisha, who was expecting Preston at the time. I was so touched that this teenager was so sweet and thoughtful that not only did she buy her aunt a gift for her new cousin before he was even born, but it also benefited breast cancer. So I had already been looking forward to this session, but when Alisha called to schedule the session, I was excited to find out that the baby had been named Preston — a name I have always loved. I adopted by 7 year old Rottweiler mix as a tiny puppy and named him Preston, so of course, I have a soft spot for anyone with the name, and especially cuddly 3 month old babies!
I had a great time with Preston during his session. Emma, thank you SO much for supporting the silent auction and for sending Preston my way. He is just adorable!
Preston gave us lots of smiles during the session, as you can see above, but he was due for a nap towards the end of the session, and he let us know when he was ready to be finished. He was so cute, though, that I couldn’t resist sharing this one.
