I hope everyone had a great and relaxing 4th of July weekend! I want to share a newborn I photographed recently. This little cutie was just 6 days old for our session. She was born on Father’s Day, which I think is very cool, especially since her daddy is the one that contacted me about the session. Normally moms are the ones who are focused on newborn photography but this dad was really excited about the session and had a lot of fun ideas, so it was fitting that Camryn was born on Father’s Day.
When Camryn’s mother, Jaclyn, was born, Jaclyn’s mom received a bouquet of pink roses. When Camryn was born, Jaclyn’s mom sent her a bouquet of pink roses to carry on the tradition. When they suggested using the roses in a photo, I loved the idea, and this ended up being my favorite photo from our session.
Camryn and her mom in her super cute nursery:
This doesn’t look like my typical portrait, but I love the expression on Camryn’s face, so I couldn’t leave it out of the blog sneak peak.
I couldn’t resist sharing the storyboard I put together to show Camryn’s parents. I love the little macro shots of babies. They grow up so fast, and it’s amazing to look back and remember all their tiny little features. See the pretty name bracelet that Camryn’s grandmother had made for her? So cute!
