Christine and Jay | Tallahassee Vow Renewal Photography

Thursday, May 5th, 2011

Christine and Jay celebrated their 10th anniversary last month by having a vow renewal at Oven Park, where they got married. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and they had a lovely ceremony. There were no guests; only Christine and Jay, their two children, Christine’s mom, and the priest. It was the perfect way to renew their vows and a great way to celebrate 10 years of marriage.

Layne & Blake | Tallahassee, Florida Engagement Photography

Layne and Blake are the cutest couple and they are so sweet together! I had a great time at their engagement session and am really looking forward to photographing their wedding this June!

I have photographed Layne’s niece and nephew several times but had never gotten to meet her or Blake, but we hit it off immediately. They are both really genuine and easy to talk to, and I immediately felt comfortable with both of them. They are adorable together and spent the entire engagement session making each other laugh. Anyone who is around them can see that they really have a close connection and they are perfect for each other.

Amy & Will [Tallahassee, Florida Wedding Photography]

I photographed this beautiful November wedding as a second shooter for Woodland Fields Photography. Rebekah and Catherine of Woodland Fields are friends of mine and fabulous photographers, and this is the first of three weddings I shot with them at the end of 2010.  As it often happens with second shooting, I had no idea whose wedding I would be photographing before I arrived at Goodwood. It turned out that Amy, the bride, is a friend of a friend, so once I realized I knew the bride, it was even more fun to shoot this wedding. Amy and Will have been dating for a long time and are so sweet together. They had a beautiful wedding and I was thrilled to be a part of it! Thank you to Woodland Fields for asking me to shoot with them and congratulations Amy and Wil!

My favorite photo from the wedding — this is what pure joy looks like.

Will, the groom, his two brothers, and his friend Dave, who I went to high school with. (This wedding was such a reunion of familiar faces!)

As you can see, Amy and Will’s wedding day was absolutely beautiful, with lots of adorable details:

Kylene Gay with Forever Photography by Kylene, who is one of my good friends and the photographer who shot my wedding, asked me to second shoot this wedding with her back in October and I’m finally getting around to blogging the images.

When I second shoot weddings, I don’t usually meet the bride and groom ahead of time, so I didn’t meet Bethany or Jason until the day of the wedding, but Bethany and I hit it off immediately. We laughed about the fact that we are both named Beth, we  went to the same high school, we  got married at the same location, and we both went to Costa Rica on our honeymoons. We definitely had a lot in common! Bethany and Jason are such a fun couple and it was so much fun to be part of their wedding.

Claire and Adam [Cottondale and Tallahassee Wedding Photography]

When my friend Ashley asked me to photograph this wedding as her second shooter, I was thrilled. I was even more excited after meeting Claire and Adam and seeing all the planning details for their gorgeous day. We had a bit more excitement the week of the wedding, when Ashley unexpectedly went into labor 9 weeks early, and delivered a beautiful baby boy just a couple of days before the wedding. She was unable to photograph the wedding, and luckily, my friend Robin was able to step in and take her place, and together, Robin and I were able to get some fantastic images for Claire and Adam. It helped that they are both in love and incredibly photogenic!

Claire and Adam had an amazingly beautiful wedding, and their love for each other was so apparent to everyone at the wedding. I was honored to be able to photograph their wedding, and I’m excited to share some of my favorite images from the day. These images were taken by me, for Ashley Daniell Photography.

I’ll start with one of my favorites. This is just after their first time seeing each other on their wedding day. They each got each other a gift to celebrate. Adam bought Claire a beautiful ring to wear for her “something blue” and Claire had a custom photo book made for Adam, documenting their relationship.

Claire’s gorgeous engagement ring:

Claire was a breathtakingly beautiful bride:

and Adam was such a handsome groom:

Isn’t Claire’s dress beautiful? I love this chandelier, too. The wedding was held at her grandparents’ home and the reception was on her parents’ property. This chandelier is hanging in the entry at her parents’ home. Gorgeous, right?

I just love this photo of Adam and his father. His dad helped him with his tie and gave him some advice for his marriage.

I adore this monogrammed flower girl dress. It was just perfect for a country wedding!

Another adorable photo of Adam and Claire:

The little ring bearer was absolutely adorable, even if he did tell me, “I’m a cowboy, and cowboy’s DON’T take pictures!” when I asked him to smile for a photo. Claire’s family had several Weimaraners running around the property while we were taking formal shots, and I couldn’t resist getting this candid of the ring bearer with one of the dogs.

Adam and Claire drove away in a beautiful horse-drawn carriage:

Congratulations, Adam and Claire! I was so honored to be able to photograph your wedding.
